UNIDENTIFIED :  Balacharea, Balchad, Balchir, Haswa,  Jatamangsi , Jatamanshu , Jatamavshi ,  Kalichhad,  Kukilipot, Mamsi, Mashi, Masi, Naswa, Nihanu, Pampe, Sambul, Spang-spos (Tibetan).

A number of the above names are probably missplaced due to the confusion over the synonymy Nardostachys jatamansi auct.  =  Nardostachys grandiflora DC. They should only be matched with Nardostachys jatamansi (Jones) DC. below. "Balchad" is an example. On the other hand some names probably  apply to both species.

Strictly speaking this species is now, according to many authors,
