Abbas H. Farzin et al. , 1999 - 2003, Management Consultants & Software Developers (MabnaSoft.) Pars Translator - Fields of Sciences and Pars Translator Internet/Intranet. < http://www.parstranslator.net/eng/translate.htm >. Translate Text from English to Persian. Will accept multiword input  and return composed names. Best choice for plant names (Agriculture Section). Many other fields (sections) to choose from.  *****

Aryanpur Kashani Abbas, 2004, The Concise English-Persian dictionary. Persian-English & English-Persian. Online version of  Aryanpur Kashani, Abbas, 1981, The Concise English-Persian dictionary. Tehran, Iran : Amir Kabir Publishing Corp. < http://www.math.columbia.edu/~safari/masood/cgi-bin/  >. Plenty of synonymy offered, a number of outputs to choose from to display Persian. ****

P.O.D., 2004,  English to Persian and Persian to English. < http://www.aryanpour.com/ >. 2 options for input of Persian but not as smooth as Farsidic, appears to carry the same vocabulary as Farsidic.

FARSIDIC 2004, Persian-English dictionary.  < http://www.farsidic.com  >. (Easy to use,  no romanisation. Persian input is via a cool  on-screen keyboard). ***

I. L. & S. 2004, IRANIAN LANGUAGES AND SCRIPTS's Talking Persian - English - Persian Dictionary.  Includes audio feature, transliteration and three different methods of input. < http://iranianlanguages.com/dictionary.php?eng-per  >. Very user friendly. Provides both original script (Farsi) in picture form and romanised form of words.  Therefore no need for fancy fonts, translators, special system fonts etc. Vocabulary needs to be build up a lot more. **** for efforts. (This is the only online dictionary of contemporary Persian which displays the romanised version of words)

Thanks to the University of Washington (USA) Library - Near East Section, for pointing to the above and other useful information on Persian.
