The common names of various species are very unreliable especially within European names, probably because they tend to reflect the flow of importations rather than the origins of the plants. Further editing & sorting is needed. Recommendations should then follow.

 

ANACAHUITA, the Spanish(Argentina) name for Schinus molle L. , applies also to Cordia boissieri A. DC. (Boraginaceae), Blepharocalyx giganteus Lillo (Myrtaceae), Blepharocalyx salicifolius (Kunth) O. Berg. , and Blepharocalyx tweediei (Hook. & Arn.) O. Berg.

LAPACHILLO, the Spanish (Uruguay) name for Blepharocalyx giganteus Lillo, applies also to : Lonchocarpus nitidus (Vogel) Benth. and Poecilanthe parviflora Benth.
