In the past, due to the fact that most linguists have tended to lump all common names under the basic species Chenopodium ambrosioides L., some of these vernacular names may belong here to the var. anthelminticum. To now add to the confusion taxonomists seem to prefer Dysphania ambrosioides (L.) Mosyakin & Clemants over Chenopodium ambrosioides L. which will remain as a synonym of course.
