* Given the different forms of Chinese cabbages it would be a good idea to add "var. chinensis" at the end of this name to distinguish it from other forms such as var. rosularis, var. nana etc.

* * When considering various Chinese names it is evident that the usual commercial names "pak choy" (or its equivalent) for B. chinensis and "petsai" for B. pekinensis, although understood in western countries, are rather inappropriate and in fact confusing in the context of the entire world market - the "global economy".
