SYNONYM(S) : Marcanthus cochinchinensis Lour. , Stizolobium cochinchinense (Lour.) Tang & Wang, Mucuna cochinchinensis (Lour.) Merr.

CHINESE : Long zhua dou, Long zhua dou (medicinal name), Li dou, Li dou, Long zhua li dou, Hu zhua dou, Mao zhua dou, Mao dou, Gou zhua dou, Bai li dou.

ENGLISH : Velvet bean.

NEPALESE : Kaause simii (Kause simi).

Mucuna colletii Lace

ENGLISH :  Black kwao krua (Med.) Related drugs White kwao krua (Pueraria mirifica), Red kwao krua (Butea superba).

THAI : กวาวเครือ  Kwaao kreua,  สะบ้าลิง  Sa ba ling (Kanchanaburi province),  เบ้งเก่ Bay gao (Karen- Kanchanaburi province),  มะบ้าแมง Ma ba maeng (Chiang Mai), ยางดำ Yang dam (Nakhon Ratchasima Province), หมักบ้าลืมดำ Mak ba leum dam  (Sukhothai province), แฮนเฮาห้อม  Hae ho hom (Loei province).

Some of those character combinations are difficult to romanise so one should rely mostly on the Thai names.



This is considered as a synonym of  Mucuna macrocarpa Wall.
