Brassica rapa L. (Broccoletto Group) 'Cima di Rapa'

ENGLISH : Broccoli raab 'Cima di Rapa'.

ITALIAN : Broccoletto 'Cima di Rapa'.

Note : authors are often tempted to lump the Italian "Broccoletto 'Cima di Rapa'" with caixin, because they are morphologically similar, but they are organoleptically different (they taste differently), 'Cima di Rapa' having a much stronger taste that would be inappropriate in Asian cuisine / recipes calling for Caixin. Beside having evolved in very different conditions under different cultivation practices they certainly should not be confused. We have reflected this difference in the Chinese and Italian names.
